Brick also imports PALM Amber Ale.
At the beginning of the 1900s as Czech Pilsners and German Lagers were becoming popular in Western Europe, the Belgian brewing guild organized a competition to create a beer that was refreshing, but with a uniquely Belgian style. The brewers of Brabant named this beer Speciale Belge. The brand named winner of the competition was PALM.
The brewing process starts with water from PALM Breweries' deep underground spring. Specially selected malt, made according to PALM's own recipe, is created using two-row summer barley from France's Champagne region, giving PALM its honey-like tenderness. A specially cultured yeast strain, itself a symbiosis of three different yeasts, is united with hops from Kent, England, to give PALM its unique aroma and subtle harmony.
